I installed recently windows 7 and i am very pleased, except for when it comes to my sound. It says that i need to install the sound unit, but i whatever i tried i cant get it to work. The icon 'No sound unit is installed' is present at my windows bar in the right corner. Okey, first of all it did not work, second its my bad that i did not realize that the PCI-computerunit (is shown beneath the 'other devices') was the unit that my soundcard is connected to.Can it be that my motherboard drive is not properly installed. I tried to put my soundcard to another slot, but then my computer simply wont start 'blackscreen'. I simply love the speed and that windows 7 is so easy to handle. But im struggling with my sound, and i think it is because the PCI slot where my soundcard is, is not installed properly.
What can i do? And i tried to use Nvidias automatic driver installation but it says that it is allready installed.

Do you have the external soundcard (it'd have to be USB) or the PCI version?
